✧ Hi, I’m Em, a Portland based Interior and Visual Designer with over ten years of experience bringing spaces to life. I have worked across residential & commercial design, large installations, events, visual merchandising, prop styling, & digital rendering. I studied Interior Design & Visual Communications at FIDM in San Francisco & continued my education in Marketing & Communications at the University of Colorado. All of these pieces come together in the way I design.
✦ I have always been drawn to the history of art & architecture & the way ancient objects, natural formations, & symbolic motifs can tell a story. I pull inspiration from mineral patterns, celestial shapes, old world craftsmanship, & the surrealness of nature. These influences help me create spaces that feel grounded, meaningful, & personal rather than trendy or disposable.
✧ At my core, I care about how people feel in their environment. Design is not just about how a room looks; it’s about how it supports your daily life, your mood, & your sense of self. I love creating spaces that feel like a sanctuary, spaces that reflect who you are & who you are becoming.
✦ I am collaborative by nature and enjoy working closely with clients, contractors, & creative teams to bring ideas from concept to reality. My experience in the Bay Area, Denver, & Portland has taught me how to adapt, communicate clearly, & honor the vision of each person I work with.
